Nigerian rapper and member of the Chocolate City music family, Panshak Henry Nasara Zamani, (Ice Prince), is our birthday boy, as he clocks 27 years old today, 30th October, 2013.
Ice Prince, who took the Nigerian music scene by storm with the release of his debut single, ‘Oleku’, in 2009, is from Pankshin Local Government Area, Plateau State, but was born in Minna, the capital of Niger State, in1986. He attended the famous St. Murumba College, Jos, the same school that produced the likes of musical twins, P-Square and Nigerian International and Chelsea FC of England midfield star, John Obi Mikel.
Ice Prince’s debut single, ‘Oleku,’ won him many awards and became number one on many top charts. In 2012, he began frequent collaborations with Grip Boiz City producer Chopstix, releasing ‘Aboki’ in the summer of 2012. An accompanying music video was released alongside it. The BET Awards Best African Act winner’s new album, Fireof Zamani, released earlier this month is currently tearing the airwaves.
From this end, we say happy birthday Ice Prince
