Over 40 suspected Boko Haram members killed in Borno -


MAIDUGURI - More than 40 suspected Boko Haram Islamist sect members were Wednesday killed in a Military raid involving air strikes and ground troops of the 7 Division, Nigerian Army in Bita village area along Damboa-Gwoza road of Borno state.
It would be recalled that 12 days ago, over 20 suspected terrorists were reportedly killed in the late hours of Friday 15th November, 2015,  by the troops of the Division in Bita village, while several others escaped when the military laid an offensive attack in one of the Boko Haram hideouts in the area, as confirmed to Journalists by the Spokesman of the Division, Colonel Mohammed Dole.
Bita is a village which harbours stronghold camps of Boko Haram terrorists located 32 kilometres west of Gwoza. While Gwoza town is about 135 kilometres away from Maiduguri, the state capital which had witnessed series of attacks and killings in recent times.
